Compliancy With Accessibility Standards
uxtricks.design is intended to be ‘fully’ compliant.
Our Approach
We tested our website for accessibility using the following tools:
- Lighthouse Audit (automatic checks, Chrome headless)
- Lighthouse Audit (manual checks, Chrome non-headless)
- WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) 2.1 (manual checks)
Where We Can Improve
We tested our website for screen reader accessibility using Apple’s VoiceOver software and believe that our website is at least reasonably accessible. However, we haven’t tested using any other type of screen reader and believe that additional testing is a ‘disproportionate burden’ based on a lack of screen readers available to us at this moment in time (due to lack of staff and funds).
We hope to change this. We also aspire to begin testing with real disabled users once we have the means to do so.
